Hi, I'm Denise Nomura, and I've been exploring and living in Japan for over 20 years. My first taste of Japan was in my 20s when I spent a year in Tokyo studying the language and culture (and teaching aerobics – yes, really! It was the 80s!). That experience ignited a lifelong passion, and after many trips back, I had the amazing opportunity to live in Tokyo for seven years with my husband and kids. I used that time to explore every nook and cranny of the country and really improve my Japanese.
